Recently, I happened to stumble across a link to Sculptris
, a free digital sculpting program similar to ZBrush. I played around with it a bit, and it seemed really powerful, so I decided to go ahead and make something detailed with it. I was amazed! While Blender does have sculpting tools, it's not really a sculpting program. With Sculptris I was able to get really detailed and my computer didn't crash or freeze or anything. I love it!
I know this sculpture is pretty plain, pose-wise. The next one will be more dynamic. I was just testing everything out with this one (and practicing a bit of human anatomy). Hopefully the next one will have better textures too, especially for the eyes. I've got to go look up some tutorials.
The Anubis was sculpted and painted in Sculptris, and the collar/necklace and platform were made in Blender.
